Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ingvar Heintz got the match started through his kick off. If Guido Schiller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Eintracht Frankfurt getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Ephraim Rexhaus hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the match, Guido Schiller notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Eintracht Frankfurt's Erik Scherhag. Erik Scherhag was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Spike Rüdiger hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After 15 played minutes Eintracht Frankfurt got a freekick which was hit by Lutz Hilgers. After 16 played minutes Sonny Scherf shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Eintracht Frankfurt's Erik Scherhag to catch but Sonny Scherf was lucky. It became 2-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Torben Weigelt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Detleff Suttner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, APK's goal looked a bit too open when Torben Weigelt came free, but Detleff Suttner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kurt Rabiega hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Torben Weigelt scored 2-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Detleff Suttner, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 34th match minute, APK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Spike Rüdiger to maneuver through the defense. Guido Schiller took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erik Scherhag. Erik Scherhag dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. A hard shot 41 in the game by Marc Becker from a close distance when the talented Erik Scherhag managed to make a qualified save. Eintracht Frankfurt's players were relieved. In the 43rd minute, Kurt Rabiega made a precise shot to the right of Erik Scherhag. Eintracht Frankfurt's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. In the 48th minute of the match, Marc Becker got a very nice opportunity to score, but Erik Scherhag was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guido Schiller made a kick off. Detleff Suttner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingvar Heintz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Detleff Suttner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Heintz in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute Spike Rüdiger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Scherhag saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erik Scherhag took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Spike Rüdiger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the game, Guido Schiller cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Erik Scherhag was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, APK's Detleff Suttner got control of the ball when Torben Weigelt tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The APK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Eintracht Frankfurt had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
