The penalty shot was made by Mesut Süss, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Egelseeqw's Addi Oldenburg. 0-1. 7 minutes into the game, Ludger Scherpp cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Addi Oldenburg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Hartwig Funke came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Egelseeqw fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hartwig Funke couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Heiko Bäßler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Egelseeqw's supporters rose to their feet, but Heiko Bäßler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donny Schui breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hartwig Funkes short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Donny Schui to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hocheck FC's Anton Huhn got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Hocheck FC's goalkeeper Donny Schui, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anton Huhn took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Addi Oldenburg. Addi Oldenburg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Addi Oldenburg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Huhn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hartwig Funke in the 28th minute of play forced Hocheck FC's goalkeeper Donny Schui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Evert Küster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 33 played minutes Egelseeqw got a freekick which was hit by Friedemann Razavi. In the 34th minute, Mesut Süss sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Egelseeqw's Addi Oldenburg didn't even have to move. 36 minutes into the game, Friedhelm Stamm was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Egelseeqw's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hocheck FC the free kick. The supporters of Hocheck FC booed when Egelseeqw was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Friedhelm Stamm didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Egelseeqw's goal looked a bit too open when Marvin Hartmann came free, but Addi Oldenburg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Lars Mank made a precise shot to the right of Addi Oldenburg. Egelseeqw's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Addi Oldenburg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Mank, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Ludger Scherpp scored 0-5 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Addi Oldenburg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

In the 60th minute Lars Mank shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Addi Oldenburg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Hocheck FC's Anton Huhn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Addi Oldenburg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Huhn in the 65th minute of play forced Egelseeqw's goalkeeper Addi Oldenburg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Marvin Hartmann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Addi Oldenburg. Egelseeqw's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marvin Hartmann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Evert Küster's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donny Schui read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Addi Oldenburg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ludger Scherpp in the 84th minute. Marc Korth's late challenge caught a Hocheck FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marc Korth helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Egelseeqw's Marc Korth got a free kick in the 88th minute. Evert Küster hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 95th match minute, Hocheck FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Huhn to maneuver through the defense. Erland Faigle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donny Schui having to interfere. Hocheck FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
