When Egelseeqw's Hartwig Funke in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hörsten's goalie prevented a goal. Addi Oldenburg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerald Ringelnatz in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Egelseeqw's goal looked a bit too open when Björn Färber came free, but Addi Oldenburg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Björn Färber in the 17th minute of play forced Egelseeqw's goalkeeper Addi Oldenburg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Egelseeqw's Addi Oldenburg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Egelseeqw from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Hartwig Funke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Egelseeqw's supporters rose to their feet, but Hartwig Funke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michael Gillen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd match minute, Hörsten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartolomeo Kollmannsperger to maneuver through the defense. After 24 minutes, Mathieu Finnern mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hörsten and the Egelseeqw players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Hörsten:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Egelseeqw:s goal. In the 29th minute, Gerald Ringelnatz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Addi Oldenburg. The goal made the score 1-2. In the 33rd minute, Jason Freund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Hörsten getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Jason Freund hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Egelseeqw's Andras Schüßler got a free kick in the 38th minute. Michael Gillen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evert Küster in the 44th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erland Faigle in the 45th minute of play forced Hörsten's goalkeeper Michael Gillen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Björn Färber to strike the kick off in the second half. Heiko Bäßler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Addi Oldenburg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Björn Färber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hartwig Funkes short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Michael Gillen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Addi Oldenburg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Björn Färber in the 56th minute of the match. After 56 played minutes Egelseeqw got a freekick which was hit by Evert Küster. When Egelseeqw's Hartwig Funke, in the 63rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Egelseeqw. Mathieu Finnern was shown his second yellow card after 64 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Heiko Bäßler struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Michael Gillen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Egelseeqw. Marc Korth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 72 played minutes Egelseeqw got a freekick which was hit by Andras Schüßler. Jason Freund took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Addi Oldenburg. Egelseeqw's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Addi Oldenburg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerald Ringelnatz in the 78th minute of play. Andras Schüßler's late challenge caught a Hörsten's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andras Schüßler helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of Egelseeqw:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hörsten:s goal. Jason Freund shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After 89 played minutes Egelseeqw got a freekick which was hit by Hartwig Funke. Evert Küster hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute, Hörsten's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Hartwig Funke fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 97th minute Heiko Bäßler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Gillen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Egelseeqw left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hörsten.
