Addi Oldenburg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Mark Wellmann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Addi Oldenburg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Justin Renz charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Justin Renz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, DORTMUND's Justin Renz got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Mark Wellmann scored 0-3 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Addi Oldenburg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Egelseeqw's zone, Mark Wellmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Addi Oldenburg came out of the goal and Mark Wellmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mark Wellmann made a kick off. Eckard Pohl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Addi Oldenburg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Wellmann in the 53rd minute of play forced Egelseeqw's goalkeeper Addi Oldenburg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jens Mack showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hartwig Funke, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 63 minutes of play, DORTMUND's Eckard Pohl made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Addi Oldenburg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mark Wellmann hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After 70 played minutes DORTMUND got a freekick which was hit by Eckard Pohl. Addi Oldenburg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mark Wellmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. If Hartwig Funke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. DORTMUND's Jens Mack played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hartwig Funke in the 80th minute of play. Hartwig Funke took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jens Mack. Jens Mack dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Heiko Bäßler might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jens Mack. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Heiko Bäßler ran back to his position shaking his head. 90 minutes into the game, Eckard Pohl cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Addi Oldenburg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. DORTMUND were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Egelseeqw's much stronger midfield.
