Spectators: 7979 (Terracing: 5985, Seating: 1835, VIP seats: 159) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Frithjof Stockhausen took the kick off in the first half of the match. Helge Vinkemeier hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Joris Bülow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frithjof Stockhausen in the 10th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sange's Bartholomäus Notz got a free kick in the 12th minute. Christos Thies kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. If Dieter Kästner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Sange getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Dieter Kästner hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bartholomäus Notz in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eduard Hebel saved Flensburger FC from getting behind. Eduard Hebel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dieter Kästner in the 39th minute of the match. Eduard Hebel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dieter Kästner, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christos Thies in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eduard Hebel prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Dieter Kästner got free with Eduard Hebel in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Bartholomäus Notz came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Sange fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bartholomäus Notz couldn't finish the play. In the 61st minute, Dieter Kästner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 62nd minute Bartholomäus Notz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduard Hebel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dieter Kästner scored 0-1 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eduard Hebel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dieter Kästner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduard Hebel having to interfere. Dittmar Lehmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Joris Bülow tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dieter Kästner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eduard Hebel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bartholomäus Notz in the 90th minute. Bartholomäus Notz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Sange could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Flensburger FC throughout the match.
