After a defensive mix-up in Göppersdorf FC's zone, Linus Mattern stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eitel Scharpe came out of the goal and Linus Mattern tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Linus Mattern received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Eitel Scharpe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Göppersdorf FC's Freerk Hommertgen got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute, Béla Deck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronnie Bombard blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hansel Golz having to make a save. Hansel Golz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronnie Bombard, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Hector Möllring scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hansel Golz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The throw-in from Thomas Reich in the 20th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Petrolul's Lester Aumann. 23 minutes into the game, Ronnie Bombard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Hansel Golz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 26 minutes into the match, Ronnie Bombard notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Petrolul's Hansel Golz. Hansel Golz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ronnie Bombard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Hansel Golz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Béla Deck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

52 minutes into the match, Göppersdorf FC's goal looked a bit too open when Linus Mattern came free, but Eitel Scharpe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 54 minutes, Béla Deck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Petrolul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Béla Deck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Petrolul booed when Göppersdorf FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herbert Giebenrath didn't get a good kick on the ball. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Petrolul's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Oliver Runge was slow to take the kick. During this time Göppersdorf FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Göppersdorf FC's Oliver Runge to fire away a dangerous shot which Hansel Golz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Linus Mattern received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Eitel Scharpe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Göppersdorf FC were furious when Freerk Hommertgen was red carded, 84 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 83rd minute, one of Göppersdorf FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Göppersdorf FC. In the 86th minute there was a penalty for Petrolul. Sebastian Selle stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eitel Scharpe. 2-3. Béla Deck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
