Petrolul's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sikilaçi sk the free kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Béla Deck couldn't finish the play. Linus Mattern fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robbie Achterberg having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Petrolul's Lutger Bachmeier got a free kick in the 41st minute. Stefan Rentsch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 48 minutes, Ringo Krebs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sikilaçi sk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ringo Krebs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Béla Deck to make the kick off. With a little luck, Petrolul's Hansel Golz got control of the ball when Etienne Reinhoff tried to sneak it across the goal line. Béla Deck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robbie Achterberg having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sikilaçi sk's zone, Béla Deck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robbie Achterberg came out of the goal and Béla Deck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute, Linus Mattern left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Petrolul fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Stefan Rentsch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Robbie Achterberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Béla Deck, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Robbie Achterberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Béla Deck in the 94th minute of the match.
