The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arno Melzer got free with Dimitrios Møller in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 6 minutes into the match, Saul Huff had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dimitrios Møller. Schechen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Saul Huff was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Dimitrios Møller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arno Melzer in the 9th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Arno Melzer notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Schechen's Dimitrios Møller. Dimitrios Møller was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The throw-in from Niko Lüttges in the 15th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Schechen's Gregor Kolber. Schechen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Arno Melzer scored to the left of an out of position Dimitrios Møller, making the score, 3-0. In the 24th minute Ralph Grübel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitrios Møller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SV Blumen Osterfeld's Bruno Gapp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julius Ulbricht in the 28th minute of play. Bruno Gapp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julius Ulbricht in the 33rd minute of play. When Julius Ulbricht fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Schechen's protests and gave Julius Ulbricht a yellow card for diving instead. After 35 played minutes Schechen got a freekick which was hit by Julius Ulbricht. The supporters of SV Blumen Osterfeld booed when Schechen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raoul Loewenheim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dimitrios Møller showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arno Melzer, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arno Melzer was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Arno Melzer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitrios Møller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arno Melzer in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dimitrios Møller prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arno Melzer in the 56th minute of play forced Schechen's goalkeeper Dimitrios Møller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 57 played minutes SV Blumen Osterfeld got a freekick which was hit by Saul Huff. 60 minutes into the match, SV Blumen Osterfeld's goalkeeper Bruno Gapp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raoul Loewenheim. Dimitrios Møller took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arno Melzer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Arno Melzer put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Dimitrios Møller. 71 minutes in the game Ulli Gruber did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Saul Huff. After 72 minutes, Arno Melzer made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Schechen's Dimitrios Møller tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Arno Melzer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dimitrios Møller was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Nikolai Zettler hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Raoul Loewenheim kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. A collision led to SV Blumen Osterfeld getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Ulli Gruber hit a great ball. In the 90th minute, Julius Ulbricht made a precise shot to the right of Bruno Gapp. SV Blumen Osterfeld's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. With a little luck, SV Blumen Osterfeld's Bruno Gapp got control of the ball when Dieter Jagow tried to sneak it across the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SV Blumen Osterfeld had played much better football throughout.
