The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Dieter Jagow made the kick off in the second half. Isidor Arendt yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. A collision led to Schechen getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Drees Kästner hit a great ball. Dimitrios Møller showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lutz Öchsle, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. If Bülent Ihns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute, Martin Meier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dieter Jagow struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Isidor Arendt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Schechen. Dieter Jagow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Isidor Arendt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the game, Leonhard Marx was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ludwigsburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Schechen the free kick. Leonhard Marx hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. The supporters of Schechen booed when Ludwigsburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henning Ripoll didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isidor Arendt made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Dieter Jagow sent off a good shot on target. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
