Spectators: 6500 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 4th minute Aureliano Santa Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidor Arendt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute of the match, Henning Ripoll tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Conni Berlepp saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Aureliano Santa Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ludwigsburg's Henning Ripoll in 12 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Conni Berlepp guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Conni Berlepp made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Lutz Öchsle sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aureliano Santa Cruz in the 27th minute of play forced Ludwigsburg's goalkeeper Isidor Arendt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conni Berlepp was a little too slow when Henning Ripoll got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 34th minute, Arpad Flaht hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isidor Arendt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliano Santa Cruz in the 40th minute of the match. Levi Homburger charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Levi Homburger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 40 played minutes Ludwigsburg got a freekick which was hit by Levi Homburger. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Henning Ripoll stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adi Butenweg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Isidor Arendt made a huge save. If Aureliano Santa Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 61 played minutes Ambrock got a freekick which was hit by Hein Hammerschmitt. Ambrock's Conni Berlepp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lutz Öchsle in the 62nd minute of play. Henning Ripoll received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Conni Berlepp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute Lutz Öchsle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conni Berlepp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isidor Arendt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aureliano Santa Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. During the 75th minute of the match Levi Homburger completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Levi Homburger a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 76 played minutes Ludwigsburg got a freekick which was hit by Levi Homburger. 78 minutes into the game, Ambrock's Adi Butenweg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isidor Arendt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Benno Pamatat kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After 84 played minutes Ambrock got a freekick which was hit by Aureliano Santa Cruz. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Henning Ripoll managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ludwigsburg's supporters rose to their feet, but Henning Ripoll was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conni Berlepp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 91 minutes into the game, Cicero Pitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ludwigsburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ambrock the free kick. A collision led to Ludwigsburg getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Cicero Pitz hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ludwigsburg's goalkeeper Isidor Arendt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Ambrock players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Ludwigsburg from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
