Spectators: 7847 (Terracing: 6006, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 0) Béla Deck started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. With his leg Bruno Gapp managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when Petrolul's Béla Deck fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Roland Wehn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Gapp having to interfere. In the 11th minute of the match Kristian Körth shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hansel Golz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 13th match minute, SV Blumen Osterfeld was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saul Huff to maneuver through the defense. Hansel Golz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arno Melzer, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. If Arno Melzer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ralph Grübel kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Bruno Gapp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roland Wehn in the 31st minute of play. Hansel Golz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arno Melzer in the 33rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arno Melzer in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hansel Golz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arno Melzer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Saul Huff came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the SV Blumen Osterfeld fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saul Huff couldn't finish the play. Bruno Gapp came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Petrolul's Lester Aumann. But to his dismay, Lester Aumann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arno Melzer made a kick off. The supporters of SV Blumen Osterfeld booed when Petrolul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermann van de Logt didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristian Körth in the 54th minute of play forced Petrolul's goalkeeper Hansel Golz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute Arno Melzer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hansel Golz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Gapp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Béla Deck in the 61st minute of the match. Roland Wehn hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arno Melzer in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hansel Golz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SV Blumen Osterfeld's David Schmelzer quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Roland Wehn, made in the 68th minute of the game. 69 minutes into the match, Petrolul's goal looked a bit too open when Arno Melzer came free, but Hansel Golz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arno Melzer in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hansel Golz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind SV Blumen Osterfeld's goalkeeper Bruno Gapp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Linus Mattern fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Petrolul's protests and gave Linus Mattern a yellow card for diving instead. After 85 played minutes Petrolul got a freekick which was hit by Linus Mattern. When SV Blumen Osterfeld's Arno Melzer in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Petrolul's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, SV Blumen Osterfeld's Ralph Grübel got a free kick in the 89th minute. After having played for 90 minutes, Béla Deck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Petrolul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Béla Deck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Béla Deck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Gapp having to interfere. Nikolai Zettler made in the 96th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Björn Gondro. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Petrolul fans cheered their team off the field, for while SV Blumen Osterfeld had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
