The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eitel Scharpe made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Rolf Nowak sent off a good shot on target. Eitel Scharpe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ringo Krebs in the 11th minute. When Göppersdorf FC's Tim Deligöz in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ringo Krebs showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Eitel Scharpe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rolf Nowak in the 25th minute. If Ringo Krebs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Ringo Krebs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sikilaçi sk's supporters rose to their feet, but Ringo Krebs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eitel Scharpe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eitel Scharpe was a little too slow when Ringo Krebs got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 2-0. Robbie Achterberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronnie Bombard in the 40th minute of play. Robbie Achterberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tim Deligöz in the 42nd minute of the match. Robbie Achterberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tim Deligöz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When Etienne Reinhoff fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sikilaçi sk's protests and gave Etienne Reinhoff a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Göppersdorf FC booed when Sikilaçi sk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Etienne Reinhoff didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute, Ringo Krebs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sikilaçi sk's Robbie Achterberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Sikilaçi sk from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tim Deligöz in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robbie Achterberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Etienne Reinhoff was shown his second yellow card after 66 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Sikilaçi sk's Etienne Reinhoff got a free kick in the 66th minute. After 74 played minutes Sikilaçi sk got a freekick which was hit by Erich Anfahrt. Tim Deligöz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Robbie Achterberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Sikilaçi sk's goalkeeper Robbie Achterberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronnie Bombard. 80 minutes into the game, Ronnie Bombard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Robbie Achterberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hector Möllring kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Ronnie Bombard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Rolf Nowak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eitel Scharpe. Göppersdorf FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rolf Nowak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1.
