Dieter Jagow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Petrolul's Sebastian Selle got a free kick in the 30th minute. Linus Mattern sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Béla Deck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Linus Mattern was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 47th minute. Petrolul's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dieter Jagow was the one to do the kick off. Hartmut Breyer thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Hansel Golz, a very annoying self made goal in the 52nd minute which led to 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Petrolul's zone, Dieter Jagow stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hansel Golz came out of the goal and Dieter Jagow tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the match, Linus Mattern had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dimitrios Møller. Schechen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Linus Mattern was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Jan Wulff charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jan Wulff the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 74 played minutes Schechen got a freekick which was hit by Jan Wulff. 77 minutes into the match, Linus Mattern notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Schechen's Dimitrios Møller. Dimitrios Møller was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Raoul Loewenheim kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Linus Mattern managed to get in a good position for a shot. Petrolul's supporters rose to their feet, but Linus Mattern was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dimitrios Møller breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 84 minutes, Raoul Loewenheim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Schechen and the Petrolul players grew even worse after the yellow card.
