Helge Otto's late challenge caught a Hülkenbüll FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Helge Otto helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Hülkenbüll FC booed when SV Schaufling was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. A very good chance. 13 minutes into the match, Hülkenbüll FC's goalkeeper Markus Vollmann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kilian de Koster. Ingolf Vollmer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olaf Wegl's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. After a rather tough play, Hülkenbüll FC's Otto Baum got a free kick in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dietrich van der Walt in the 16th minute of play forced Hülkenbüll FC's goalkeeper Markus Vollmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Kilian de Koster got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ingolf Vollmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olaf Wegl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28thth minute of the game Dietrich van der Walt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hülkenbüll FC's Markus Vollmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ingolf Vollmer came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Hülkenbüll FC's Olaf Wegl. But to his dismay, Olaf Wegl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 38th minute, Willibald Gabler made a precise shot to the right of Ingolf Vollmer. SV Schaufling's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 48th minute, SV Schaufling's Dietrich van der Walt ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Markus Vollmann. Markus Vollmann yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. After the first half Hülkenbüll FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 84 minutes of play, SV Schaufling's Kilian de Koster made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Markus Vollmann was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 89 minutes, Dietrich van der Walt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SV Schaufling's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dietrich van der Walt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Hülkenbüll FC's Olaf Wegl ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ingolf Vollmer. Ingolf Vollmer yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. The SV Schaufling supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Hülkenbüll FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Hülkenbüll FC.
