Seating: 1829, VIP seats: 50) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Paul von Berg made the kick off which started today's match. When Paul von Berg came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Döbelner SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paul von Berg couldn't finish the play. Rudolf Sebastiany took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heiko Anlohse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul von Berg in the 7th minute of play forced Oeverich's goalkeeper Rudolf Sebastiany to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 9 minutes Oeverich's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wolf-Rüdiger Trener who took care of the corner kick. Rudolf Sebastiany took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul von Berg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rudolf Sebastiany showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heiko Anlohse, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Heiko Anlohse in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rudolf Sebastiany saved Oeverich from getting behind. Georg Botz's late challenge caught a Döbelner SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Georg Botz helped the player get up and apologised. Georg Botz hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. When Paul von Berg came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Döbelner SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paul von Berg couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carl Franiel made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Heiko Anlohse had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rudolf Sebastiany. Oeverich's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Heiko Anlohse was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Oeverich's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Heiko Anlohse scored to the left of an out of position Rudolf Sebastiany, making the score, 0-2. Oeverich's Rudolf Sebastiany proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Oeverich from getting a goal against them. Paul von Berg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Heiko Anlohse's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rudolf Sebastiany read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Kai Lenzen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Döbelner SC's Paul von Berg got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Heiko Anlohse might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rudolf Sebastiany. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Heiko Anlohse ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Oeverich's Niclas Schnuphase got a free kick in the 88th minute. Rudolf Sebastiany showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul von Berg in the 89th minute of the match. Paul von Berg might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rudolf Sebastiany. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paul von Berg ran back to his position shaking his head. When Carl Franiel came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Oeverich fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carl Franiel couldn't finish the play. Döbelner SC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
