Arthur Haubold took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Balan Gonzáles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Wissersheim booed when Fortuna Dresden FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balan Gonzáles didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Axel Giese kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benjamin Franke. That made the score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. In the 33rd minute of the match Balan Gonzáles sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arthur Haubold skillfully saved the ball. In the 39th minute, Kevin Hilker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Balan Gonzáles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fortuna Dresden FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Balan Gonzáles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arthur Haubold breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 41 minutes into the game, Axel Giese was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wissersheim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fortuna Dresden FC the free kick. Axel Giese kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 43rd match minute, Wissersheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Giese to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nicolai Wissmann to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Wissersheim got a freekick which was hit by Axel Giese. Uri Wollenschläger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Uri Wollenschläger hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Arthur Haubold made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Tomáš Bacho sent off a good shot on target. Axel Giese kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Faudel Houllier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arthur Haubold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arthur Haubold made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Balan Gonzáles in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Balan Gonzáles in the 73rd minute of play forced Wissersheim's goalkeeper Arthur Haubold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arthur Haubold was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Balan Gonzáles showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 92 minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Fortuna Dresden FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
