But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albert Kläser couldn't finish the play. 5 minutes into the match, Karlsruher SC's goal looked a bit too open when Gunter Heil came free, but Eugen Gelb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reinhard Dutzi hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. The supporters of KSC-Allstars booed when Karlsruher SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Holger Wohlert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eugen Gelb showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinhard Dutzi in the 11th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Johannes Schlimm got free with Eugen Gelb in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 13 minutes into the match, KSC-Allstars's goal looked a bit too open when Conni Tetzner came free, but Esra Seyler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reinhard Dutzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KSC-Allstars's Gunter Heil was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 19th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Eugen Gelb stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gunter Heil's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Karlsruher SC's goalkeeper Eugen Gelb had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johannes Schlimm. Reinhard Dutzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugen Gelb having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Schöpf in the 32nd minute of play forced KSC-Allstars's goalkeeper Esra Seyler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KSC-Allstars's Reinhard Dutzi got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Karlsruher SC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Spike Häberle hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, Karlsruher SC's goalkeeper Eugen Gelb had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl Steinkogler. When Ferit Winand fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Karlsruher SC's protests and gave Ferit Winand a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, KSC-Allstars's Reinhard Dutzi got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute of the match Holger Wohlert shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Esra Seyler showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Eugen Gelb showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gunter Heil in the 41st minute of the match. Albert Kläser could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Eugen Gelb made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Conni Tetzner to make the kick off. Eugen Gelb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunter Heil, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Emil Schöpf could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Esra Seyler made a huge save. KSC-Allstars's Esra Seyler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save KSC-Allstars from getting a goal against them. Reinhard Dutzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eugen Gelb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johannes Schlimm, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After a rather tough play, KSC-Allstars's Marlon Sichelstiel got a free kick in the 68th minute. Gunter Heil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugen Gelb having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Karlsruher SC's goal looked a bit too open when Reinhard Dutzi came free, but Eugen Gelb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Marlon Sichelstiel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eugen Gelb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunter Heil, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. KSC-Allstars walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
