Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Joseph Schätzle took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jockel Bassen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jürgen Bonesky having to make a save. After having played for 5 minutes, Christoph Polenz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Burgstaaken FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christoph Polenz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 6th minute by Joseph Schätzle got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Christoph Polenz scored 2-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jürgen Bonesky, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Heiko Sudhoff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aydin Bischoff in the 16th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Aydin Bischoff had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Heiko Sudhoff. Burgstaaken FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aydin Bischoff was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Aydin Bischoff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Egil Dürr got free with Jürgen Bonesky in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lechia 1945 FFM's Jürgen Bonesky proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Lechia 1945 FFM from getting a goal against them. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Burgstaaken FC! In the 40th minute there was a penalty for Lechia 1945 FFM. Viktor Stehmer stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Heiko Sudhoff. 2-2. After having played for 43 minutes, Aydin Bischoff managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lechia 1945 FFM's Aydin Bischoff got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 54th minute, Viktor Stehmer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joseph Schätzle in the 60th minute of play forced Lechia 1945 FFM's goalkeeper Jürgen Bonesky to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61stth minute of the game Aydin Bischoff who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Burgstaaken FC's Heiko Sudhoff was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jürgen Bonesky took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joseph Schätzle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aydin Bischoff struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Heiko Sudhoff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lechia 1945 FFM. Gideon Leuschner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Heiko Sudhoff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Lechia 1945 FFM's Heiko Sudhoff threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aydin Bischoff, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 77th minute Aydin Bischoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heiko Sudhoff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egil Dürr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jürgen Bonesky having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Burgstaaken FC's zone, Aydin Bischoff stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heiko Sudhoff came out of the goal and Aydin Bischoff tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Viktor Stehmer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Aydin Bischoff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 93rd minute, one of Burgstaaken FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Burgstaaken FC. Gideon Leuschner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Heiko Sudhoff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Lechia 1945 FFM could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Burgstaaken FC throughout the match.
