Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Hinterm Esch FSV's Herbert Hinz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Konrad Pfau fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hinterm Esch FSV's protests and gave Konrad Pfau a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Hinterm Esch FSV's Konrad Pfau got a free kick in the 3rd minute. FC ReherPuls's Wolfram Schraier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Hinz in the 9th minute of play. Derk Hoppen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Béla Lämmel's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. After some careless play in the Hinterm Esch FSV defense, Béla Lämmel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Derk Hoppen. The Hinterm Esch FSV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Derk Hoppen should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Béla Lämmel in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Derk Hoppen saved Hinterm Esch FSV from getting behind. Konrad Pfau kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Derk Hoppen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Béla Lämmel, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Béla Lämmel in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Derk Hoppen saved Hinterm Esch FSV from getting behind. Wolfram Schraier was a little too slow when Konrad Pfau got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 33rd minute, Béla Lämmel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 34 minutes, Béla Lämmel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC ReherPuls's supporters crossed their fingers, but Béla Lämmel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37thth minute of the game Béla Lämmel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hinterm Esch FSV's Derk Hoppen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 38th match minute, FC ReherPuls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walter Derix to maneuver through the defense. When Ole Striegel came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Hinterm Esch FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ole Striegel couldn't finish the play. Derk Hoppen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Béla Lämmel's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute, Walter Derix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wolfram Schraier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herbert Hinz in the 48th minute of play.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ole Striegel in the 53rd minute of play forced FC ReherPuls's goalkeeper Wolfram Schraier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute of the match Toralf Zeiss shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Derk Hoppen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Derk Hoppen came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by FC ReherPuls's Béla Lämmel. But to his dismay, Béla Lämmel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Derk Hoppen made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Béla Lämmel sent off a good shot on target. In the 69thth minute of the game Béla Lämmel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hinterm Esch FSV's Derk Hoppen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Béla Lämmel got free with Derk Hoppen in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Toralf Zeiss recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 75 minutes into the match, FC ReherPuls's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Hinz came free, but Wolfram Schraier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Derk Hoppen managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when FC ReherPuls's Béla Lämmel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 80 minutes, Béla Lämmel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC ReherPuls's supporters crossed their fingers, but Béla Lämmel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
