Alessio Bongartz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albrecht Kamp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Willi Reutter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joachim Bleck made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Willi Reutter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blau Weiß Sauerland fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. If Willi Reutter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Weser Kickers's goalkeeper Albrecht Kamp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, SC Weser Kickers's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Pingel came free, but Albrecht Kamp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albrecht Kamp was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Willi Reutter showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-10 in the 72 minute of play.
