Spectators: 8471 (Terracing: 6354, Seating: 1948, VIP seats: 169) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Anestis Kotsopoulos made the kick off which started today's match. After having played for 11 minutes, Willi Reutter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blau Weiß Sauerland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Willi Reutter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Uwe Kuhni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andreas Teichmann's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Adam Northe came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Blau Weiß Sauerland's Paulo Renato Meirelles. But to his dismay, Paulo Renato Meirelles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Adam Northe was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Willi Reutter capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Willi Reutter really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Uwe Kuhni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ansgar Küpper-Adebisi in the 29th minute of the match. Adam Northe made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Willi Reutter sent off a good shot on target. 33 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper Adam Northe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Willi Reutter. An unexpected shot in the 36th minute by Willi Reutter got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Rot-Weiss-Essen's Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Blau Weiß Sauerland's goalie prevented a goal. Maximilian Henning took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Uwe Kuhni. Uwe Kuhni dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

Uwe Kuhni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximilian Henning in the 51st minute of the match. When Willi Reutter came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Blau Weiß Sauerland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Willi Reutter couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Willi Reutter in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adam Northe saved Rot-Weiss-Essen from getting behind. Thanks to some nice moves Andreas Teichmann could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Uwe Kuhni however easily saved by the left post. Maximilian Henning fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uwe Kuhni having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 82nd minute of play forced Blau Weiß Sauerland's goalkeeper Uwe Kuhni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the game, Willi Reutter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Adam Northe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 87 minutes of play, Blau Weiß Sauerland's Willi Reutter made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adam Northe was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 90th minute Adam Pingel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Northe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blau Weiß Sauerland walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
