FC Köln's Hubertus Gross managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Titus Rapps in the 6 minute of the game. After a rather tough play, 1. FC Köln's Elmo Lack got a free kick in the 8th minute. Anton Pientak kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Moritz Riemer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enzo Neuhäuser having to make a save. In the 19th minute Moritz Riemer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enzo Neuhäuser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anton Pientak made in the 21st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by 1. FC Köln's Mika Nass. Enzo Neuhäuser made an important save on a dangerous shot by Moritz Riemer in the 23rd minute. 31 minutes into the match, THB Herrenalb's Moritz Riemer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enzo Neuhäuser narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Amerigo Boskamp blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Willi Wolters having to make a save. In the 37th minute of the match, Ludwig Müntefering got a very nice opportunity to score, but Enzo Neuhäuser was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, 1. FC Köln's Livio Reisinger got a free kick in the 38th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Curt Nickel during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Curt Nickel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ludwig Müntefering took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Enzo Neuhäuser. Enzo Neuhäuser dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Moritz Riemer to make the kick off. In the 50th match minute, THB Herrenalb was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignatius Tilmann to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to THB Herrenalb getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Sandro Högger hit a great ball. THB Herrenalb's Lutz Holtzmann was substituted for Moritz Riemer. In the 61st minute, Sandro Högger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute, Lutz Holtzmann made a precise shot to the right of Enzo Neuhäuser. 1. FC Köln's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Lutz Holtzmann put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Enzo Neuhäuser. Enzo Neuhäuser made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lutz Holtzmann in the 71st minute of play. Gernot Haas hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute Sandro Högger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enzo Neuhäuser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enzo Neuhäuser came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by THB Herrenalb's Curt Nickel. But to his dismay, Curt Nickel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Enzo Neuhäuser didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lutz Holtzmann went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Sandro Högger scored 7-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enzo Neuhäuser, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sandro Högger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Enzo Neuhäuser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enzo Neuhäuser came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by THB Herrenalb's Lutz Holtzmann. But to his dismay, Lutz Holtzmann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. After some careless play in the 1. FC Köln defense, Sandro Högger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enzo Neuhäuser. The 1. FC Köln fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enzo Neuhäuser should have stopped the shot. 1. FC Köln's Enzo Neuhäuser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Curt Nickel in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd match minute, 1. FC Köln was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Livio Reisinger to maneuver through the defense. Enzo Neuhäuser didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernhard Bach went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score.
