KFC Uerdingen 05 were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after Nerreth FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ricardo Lugebiel took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Enerik Valencia got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sid Schätzle quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. KFC Uerdingen 05's Ago Vaasna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacob Bürsch in the 8th minute of play. Ago Vaasna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arno Vogl in the 11th minute of the match. If Jacob Bürsch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Arno Vogl fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nerreth FC's protests and gave Arno Vogl a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of KFC Uerdingen 05 booed when Nerreth FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arno Vogl didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, KFC Uerdingen 05's goal looked a bit too open when Heiner Busch came free, but Ago Vaasna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Nerreth FC's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Bannenbusch came free, but Sid Schätzle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 played minutes Nerreth FC got a freekick which was hit by Arno Vogl. Lucien Zollt kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Sid Schätzle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hartwig Engelhardt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hartwig Engelhardt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eibo Sinning recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacob Bürsch kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After having played for 43 minutes, Jacob Bürsch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nerreth FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacob Bürsch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Simon Bannenbusch was the one to do the kick off. Fabrizio Nowak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Sid Schätzle made a huge save. Fabrizio Nowak received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sid Schätzle came out and tried to block the shot, but Fabrizio Nowak slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 53rd minute. With a little luck, Nerreth FC's Sid Schätzle got control of the ball when Fabrizio Nowak tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nerreth FC's Sid Schätzle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Nerreth FC from getting a goal against them. Sid Schätzle made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Hartwig Engelhardt sent off a good shot on target. In the 64th minute, Jacob Bürsch got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, KFC Uerdingen 05's goal looked a bit too open when Jacob Bürsch came free, but Ago Vaasna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Nerreth FC's Aron Heber got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 70th match minute, Nerreth FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aron Heber to maneuver through the defense. Sid Schätzle acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 71st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ricardo Lugebiel. The audience was convinced that Hartwig Engelhardt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sid Schätzle was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Sid Schätzle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabrizio Nowak in the 76th minute. If Lars Berndt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nerreth FC made a substitution. Monty Bohn replaced Heiner Busch. Conny Frechen hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Nerreth FC's Frederik Quabeck was substituted for Eibo Sinning. Aron Heber charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aron Heber the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 82 minutes into the game, one of Nerreth FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Nerreth FC:s Sid Schätzle showed great skill when he stopped Ricardo Lugebiel:s penalty. Fabrizio Nowak had several of the Nerreth FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 90 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Sid Schätzle as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 95th minute Hartwig Engelhardt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sid Schätzle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sid Schätzle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kai Kambach in the 96th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kai Kambach in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sid Schätzle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. KFC Uerdingen 05 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
