Spectators: 9188 (Terracing: 6905, Seating: 2100, VIP seats: 183) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Raiko Kündgen took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leroy Rösch in the 10th minute of play forced Fenerbahce SK's goalkeeper Ratko Schrag to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rick Scheck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th minute, Rick Scheck left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fenerbahce SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 22nd minute, Arnout Van Kelf ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eric McThomas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Arnout Van Kelf might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eric McThomas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnout Van Kelf ran back to his position shaking his head. Raiko Kündgen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Fenerbahce SK getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Björn Ödman hit a great ball. Ratko Schrag showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Jöckel in the 38th minute of the match. Ratko Schrag showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Jöckel, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Ratko Schrag took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul Jöckel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Paul Jöckel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ratko Schrag was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Arnout Van Kelf kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eric McThomas. That made the score 4-1 in the 45 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Arnout Van Kelf made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Arnout Van Kelf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric McThomas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fenerbahce SK's Ratko Schrag played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raiko Kündgen in the 60th minute of play. Paul Jöckel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Ratko Schrag made a huge save. Ratko Schrag showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raiko Kündgen in the 68th minute of the match. Eric McThomas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rick Scheck, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Fenerbahce SK's Ratko Schrag played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raiko Kündgen in the 74th minute of play. FC Jena-Nord 02 made a substitution. Mundo Revuelta replaced Uwe Schnitzler. In the 76th match minute, Fenerbahce SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Björn Ödman to maneuver through the defense. Ratko Schrag made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leroy Rösch in the 77th minute. Fenerbahce SK's Ratko Schrag proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Fenerbahce SK from getting a goal against them. Ratko Schrag showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Jöckel in the 86th minute of the match. Arnout Van Kelf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eric McThomas came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Fenerbahce SK's Rick Scheck. But to his dismay, Rick Scheck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Jena-Nord 02 players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Fenerbahce SK.
