Manfred Rinke's late challenge caught a TSV Trudering's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christof Seubert in the 41st minute of play forced FC Temeswar Banat's goalkeeper Aimé Holtmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 played minutes FC Temeswar Banat got a freekick which was hit by Benigno Osmundo. Aimé Holtmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christof Seubert, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 47th minute Trendafil Dzhendov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederick Böhmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half FC Temeswar Banat were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dietrich Beuschlein stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 59 played minutes, FC Temeswar Banat's Adrian Neubauer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Frederick Böhmer came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Temeswar Banat reached it. Kai Emig hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Frederick Böhmer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agapito Diaz in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frederick Böhmer saved TSV Trudering from getting behind. In the 83rd minute Agapito Diaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederick Böhmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Temeswar Banat's Aimé Holtmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt-Dieter von Scheliha in the 86th minute of play. A collision led to TSV Trudering getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Otto Cabanis hit a great ball. The supporters of TSV Trudering booed when FC Temeswar Banat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Hoffmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dietrich Beuschlein struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Aimé Holtmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TSV Trudering.
