PoWer SC 2K5's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 12th minute Hector Todor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Bourceanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denis Bourceanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kai Förster in the 14th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zvonimir Prestin got free with Denis Bourceanu in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd match minute, C.A.Tapiales - Münster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Paz to maneuver through the defense. Denis Bourceanu made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Leon Matthäus sent off a good shot on target. David Rotariu came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A.Tapiales - Münster's Simão Souto. But to his dismay, Simão Souto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niko Leibrandt in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Rotariu saved PoWer SC 2K5 from getting behind. Denis Bourceanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kai Förster went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. David Rotariu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matt Sharples in the 34th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, C.A.Tapiales - Münster's goal looked a bit too open when Zvonimir Prestin came free, but Denis Bourceanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in C.A.Tapiales - Münster's zone, Hector Todor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denis Bourceanu came out of the goal and Hector Todor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Denis Bourceanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leon Matthäus in the 44th minute. Matt Sharples hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. PoWer SC 2K5's Leon Matthäus got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
