Timo Courtois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Ogășanu in the 34th minute of the match. Sydney FC's Emanuel Ogășanu managed to work through SSV Ulm 1846's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Emanuel Ogășanu dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Timo Courtois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ludwig Hanstein in the 36th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Ludwig Hanstein's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Timo Courtois was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emanuel Ogășanu to make the kick off. After 64 minutes, Aygün Soysan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sydney FC and the SSV Ulm 1846 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sydney FC:s Sebastian Titz showed great skill when he stopped Delmiro Jayvier:s penalty. With a little luck, SSV Ulm 1846's Timo Courtois got control of the ball when Önder Cebi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sydney FC's Sebastian Titz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberigo Sessa in the 74th minute of play. Ludwig Hanstein kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. If Sven-Olof Lilja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sydney FC were furious when Armando Abeita was red carded, 93 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sydney FC! 1-1 came in the 96th minute when Delmiro Jayvier all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Sebastian Titz. Alberigo Sessa struck a weak shot in the 100th minute. Sebastian Titz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SSV Ulm 1846. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
