But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gianluca Balla couldn't finish the play. Loris Groß's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pavlos Konstantakakis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. In the 16th match minute, Fc Schönhagen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vaklin Karchev to maneuver through the defense. When Hamburg Fighters's Gianni Balla in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Szilárd Újváry went to the cornerflag to take it. 21 minutes into the match, Fc Schönhagen's Loris Groß sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pavlos Konstantakakis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Adulfo Antunez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gianni Balla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loris Groß in the 24th minute of play forced Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Pavlos Konstantakakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gianni Balla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loris Groß in the 32nd minute of play forced Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Pavlos Konstantakakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pavlos Konstantakakis came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Fc Schönhagen's Loris Groß. But to his dismay, Loris Groß quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Pavlos Konstantakakis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 37th minute Fc Schönhagen were awarded a corner. Demy Vennegoor went to the cornerflag to take it. After having played for 42 minutes, Loris Groß managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Schönhagen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Loris Groß was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Loris Groß had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Szilárd Újváry's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adulfo Antunez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Szilárd Újváry to strike the kick off in the second half. Loris Groß blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pavlos Konstantakakis having to make a save. 53 minutes into the match, Hamburg Fighters's goal looked a bit too open when Loris Groß came free, but Pavlos Konstantakakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adulfo Antunez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gianni Balla in the 58th minute of the match. In the 64th minute of the game Leandros Hölsch made a throw-in which Brandon Rick played forward. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hamburg Fighters fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 65th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Pavlos Konstantakakis, was totally fooled by Fc Schönhagen's Demy Vennegoor, who 66 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Fc Schönhagen's Adulfo Antunez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gianni Balla in the 71st minute of play. In the 75th minute Gianluca Balla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adulfo Antunez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Loris Groß who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Pavlos Konstantakakis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Fc Schönhagen's Adulfo Antunez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gianni Balla in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Hamburg Fighters's Szilárd Újváry nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adulfo Antunez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Loris Groß could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Pavlos Konstantakakis made a huge save.
