Seating: 2487, VIP seats: 216) Sebastian Titz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Paulo da Silva in the 7th minute of play forced Sydney FC's goalkeeper Sebastian Titz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Bjarne Nievelstein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Jarstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bjarne Nievelstein in the 10th minute of play forced Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastian Titz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunter Waller, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 19th minute Wilhelm Nienhaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Titz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sydney FC's Sebastian Titz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Sydney FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gunter Waller came free, but Sebastian Titz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sydney FC's Sebastian Titz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Paulo da Silva in the 27th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sydney FC's zone, Zé Paulo da Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastian Titz came out of the goal and Zé Paulo da Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sydney FC's Sebastian Titz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristian Oswald in the 47th minute of play. The Sydney FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hertha 1969 were winning 1-2.
The wind increased when Wilhelm Nienhaus made the kick off in the second half. Rune Jarstein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Önder Cebi in the 51st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfred Marke during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 91st match minute, Sydney FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfred Marke to maneuver through the defense. Sebastian Titz made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Wilhelm Nienhaus sent off a good shot on target. 93 minutes into the match, Sydney FC's goalkeeper Sebastian Titz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilhelm Nienhaus. The Hertha 1969 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hertha 1969 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
