Spectators: 7062 (Terracing: 5180, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vojtěch Šandor started the match with the kick off. Vojtěch Šandor who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Zbyněk Chrastina when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Václav Bartošek scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Miroslav Štancl, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 14 played minutes AC Sparta Praha got a freekick which was hit by Milan Němec. AC Sparta Praha's Miroslav Štancl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radan Pokorný in the 18th minute of play. Radan Pokorný recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miroslav Štancl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radan Pokorný, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Jaromír Chlup hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Pavel Krahulec took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Miroslav Štancl. AC Sparta Praha's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

Radan Pokorný sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th match minute, AC Sparta Praha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milan Němec to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Milan Čížek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Radan Pokorný recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Václav Bartošek in the 75th minute of play forced AC Sparta Praha's goalkeeper Miroslav Štancl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Václav Bartošek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pavel Krahulec hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Zbyněk Chrastina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josef Semrád in the 80th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Václav Bartošek in the 82nd minute of play forced AC Sparta Praha's goalkeeper Miroslav Štancl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Radan Pokorný could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Miroslav Štancl made a huge save. In the 89th match minute, Židenický SK 1913 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopold Škrobák to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute, Zdenek Trnka left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AC Sparta Praha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Židenický SK 1913 were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
