After a defensive mix-up in FK PARDUBICE's zone, David Sikora stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josef Preisler came out of the goal and David Sikora tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Josef Preisler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roman Chmiel went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ankh-Morpork Shades's Darley Markcrow played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michal Pištora in the 12th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Ankh-Morpork Shades's goal looked a bit too open when Michal Pištora came free, but Darley Markcrow reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, David Sikora ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Josef Preisler was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Roman Chmiel put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Josef Preisler. In the 22nd minute, Libor Kaiser hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michal Pištora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Chmiel in the 26th minute of play forced FK PARDUBICE's goalkeeper Josef Preisler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Ankh-Morpork Shades's goal looked a bit too open when Michal Pištora came free, but Darley Markcrow reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FK PARDUBICE's Josef Preisler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roman Chmiel in the 35th minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Ankh-Morpork Shades's Roman Chmiel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Josef Preisler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 39th minute, Roman Chmiel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Ankh-Morpork Shades's David Sikora sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Josef Preisler narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, David Sikora managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ankh-Morpork Shades's supporters rose to their feet, but David Sikora was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josef Preisler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roman Chmiel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Roman Chmiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Michal Pištora made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Michal Pištora managed to get in a good position for a shot. FK PARDUBICE's supporters rose to their feet, but Michal Pištora was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darley Markcrow breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roman Chmiel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Sikora in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Josef Preisler saved FK PARDUBICE from getting behind. Josef Preisler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Sikora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Sikora received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Josef Preisler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Sikora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ankh-Morpork Shades's David Sikora got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roman Chmiel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Josef Preisler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute David Sikora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josef Preisler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roman Chmiel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Josef Preisler made a huge save. When David Sikora came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Ankh-Morpork Shades fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Sikora couldn't finish the play. Ankh-Morpork Shades's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
