The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of FC Killers booed when TJ Melnik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jiří Hrubec didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Killers's Čestmír Hába played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Kalous in the 34th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Oldřich Šmídl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 1-0 became the score in the 41st minute when Martin Papoušek elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Kalous was the one to do the kick off. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! David Kalous fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Čestmír Hába having to interfere.
