With a left leg Timotheus Mahle saved Lattenknaller from getting behind. 8 minutes into the match, Manchester City 2's goal looked a bit too open when Peder Wy came free, but Harry Hellmüller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Manchester City 2 booed when Lattenknaller was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Greub didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lattenknaller's zone, Kallistus Gabriel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Timotheus Mahle came out of the goal and Kallistus Gabriel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Fiore Amhof fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lattenknaller's protests and gave Fiore Amhof a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute, Fiore Amhof hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Timotheus Mahle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kajetan Chevrette in the 26th minute of the match. After having played for 27 minutes, Maurus Enzel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester City 2's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurus Enzel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th match minute, Lattenknaller was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pat Klug to maneuver through the defense. If Peder Wy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
