To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th match minute, Los Bandoleros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnold Walz to maneuver through the defense. Pietro Guibord kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Immanuel Zeffiro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Los Bandoleros's Stig Cirella didn't even have to move. If Collin Zuber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pietro Guibord kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Dick Jardan fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Stig Cirella, passed just outside the right post. Stig Cirella made an important save on a dangerous shot by Harald Gilg in the 37th minute. When Harald Gilg came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Sport Albergas e Benfica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harald Gilg couldn't finish the play. After 46 played minutes, Los Bandoleros's Hugo Berger shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jacky Ulrich came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Los Bandoleros reached it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Collin Zuber to strike the kick off in the second half. Harald Gilg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig Cirella having to interfere. Dick Jardan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Stig Cirella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Bandoleros's goalkeeper Stig Cirella, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sport Albergas e Benfica's Harald Gilg got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hugo Berger hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Dick Jardan put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Stig Cirella. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Harald Gilg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sport Albergas e Benfica's supporters rose to their feet, but Harald Gilg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stig Cirella breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raffaello Schürmann kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Hugo Berger didn't quite understand what happened when in the 81 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Harald Gilg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig Cirella having to interfere. 97 minutes into the match, Sport Albergas e Benfica's Dick Jardan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stig Cirella narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
