Spectators: 6781 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1781, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Phil Miani made the kick off which started today's match. When Friedel Neuenschwander came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Berisal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Friedel Neuenschwander couldn't finish the play. Mathieu Kernen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phil Miani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the game, August Zurbuchen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Berisal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nankatsu SC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Berisal's August Zurbuchen got a free kick in the 14th minute. Nankatsu SC's Gianluca Drechsler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Nankatsu SC from getting a goal against them. Phil Miani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Berisal's Mathieu Kernen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phil Miani in the 29th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Phil Miani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nankatsu SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Phil Miani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mathieu Kernen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Berisal's Friedel Neuenschwander in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nankatsu SC's goalie prevented a goal. 37 minutes into the match, Herman Bayer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gianluca Drechsler. Nankatsu SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Herman Bayer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Friedel Neuenschwander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Fred Eglin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mathieu Kernen having to make a save. Fred Eglin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathieu Kernen having to interfere. In the 62nd minute Douglas Schaer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathieu Kernen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Phil Miani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herman Bayer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Gianluca Drechsler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 71 minutes, Herman Bayer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Berisal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herman Bayer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Omar Leubler hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. If Friedel Neuenschwander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Berisal's Herman Bayer in 77 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Gianluca Drechsler guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After having played for 82 minutes, Phil Miani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nankatsu SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Phil Miani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Herman Bayer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the match, Berisal's goalkeeper Mathieu Kernen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fred Eglin. Berisal were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Nankatsu SC for a fine match.
