Quentin Himmel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marinus Müller read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Michail De Inierry had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marinus Müller. FC 8370's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michail De Inierry was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. FC 8370's Marinus Müller played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michail De Inierry in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Quentin Himmel notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FC 8370's Marinus Müller. Marinus Müller was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marinus Müller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quentin Himmel in the 22nd minute of play. Giraldo Egger who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Rodolphe Junod when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 33rd minute Quentin Himmel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marinus Müller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Quentin Himmel in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marinus Müller saved FC 8370 from getting behind. If Michail De Inierry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC 8370's Marinus Müller played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quentin Himmel in the 42nd minute of play. After 45 minutes, Quentin Himmel made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. FC 8370's Marinus Müller tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After having played for 59 minutes, Quentin Himmel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Union FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quentin Himmel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Michail De Inierry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marinus Müller having to interfere. Union FC's Michail De Inierry got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Michail De Inierry came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Union FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michail De Inierry couldn't finish the play. Quentin Himmel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marinus Müller having to interfere. 84 minutes into the game, Gunther Schreider was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC 8370's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Union FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, FC 8370's Gunther Schreider got a free kick in the 84th minute. Marinus Müller showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michail De Inierry, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. If Quentin Himmel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Union FC's Michail De Inierry dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Union FC played a much better game than FC 8370 and deserved their victory. The FC 8370 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
