Spectators: 7793 (Terracing: 5846, Seating: 1792, VIP seats: 155) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gene Kuster got the match started through his kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Plasselb's zone, Gene Kuster stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ingo Zwahlen came out of the goal and Gene Kuster tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th match minute, Plasselb was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rowland Bucher to maneuver through the defense. Etienne Huerlimann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Forrest Brand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joachim Wetter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Gene Kuster managed to get in a good position for a shot. AS Gnosca's supporters rose to their feet, but Gene Kuster was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ingo Zwahlen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Forrest Brand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joachim Wetter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernando Beyer hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Etienne Huerlimann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joachim Wetter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beppe Erasmo hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Joachim Wetter struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Etienne Huerlimann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Plasselb. In the 55th minute, Claude Wermuth ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ingo Zwahlen was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. A hard shot by Thorben Bürgi from long distance, 63 minutes into the match, got Etienne Huerlimann's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Etienne Huerlimann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joachim Wetter in the 67th minute of the match. Forrest Brand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Etienne Huerlimann having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claude Wermuth in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ingo Zwahlen saved Plasselb from getting behind. Forrest Brand in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Etienne Huerlimann, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Joachim Wetter kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Etienne Huerlimann. That made the score 3-3 in the 89 minute of play. A collision led to Plasselb getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Fabien Zeffiro hit a great ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
