Aigle Rouge Club's Jonathan Meyer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Aigle Rouge Club from getting a goal against them. The attack was good, but when Nat Mehrtens in the 12th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 13 played minutes Valatschalp got a freekick which was hit by Faustus Koch. Jarno Emhardt scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Liborius Fankhauser, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Faustus Koch hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Leonhard Helmholz hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarno Emhardt in the 29th minute of play forced Valatschalp's goalkeeper Liborius Fankhauser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aigle Rouge Club were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Valatschalp's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jacques Sidler took the corner. The corner ended in Jacques Sidler almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Valatschalp's Liborius Fankhauser did a great save. When Jarno Emhardt came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Aigle Rouge Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jarno Emhardt couldn't finish the play. Liborius Fankhauser made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarno Emhardt in the 38th minute of play. Faustus Koch got his second yellow card in the match during the 39th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Aigle Rouge Club booed when Valatschalp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustus Koch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jarno Emhardt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Liborius Fankhauser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sepp Papa might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Liborius Fankhauser. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sepp Papa ran back to his position shaking his head. 47 minutes into the match, Aigle Rouge Club's goalkeeper Jonathan Meyer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Riccardo Lagnaz. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jarno Emhardt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jarno Emhardt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jarno Emhardt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liborius Fankhauser having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 80th minute by Jarno Emhardt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jarno Emhardt in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Liborius Fankhauser, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Sepp Papa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liborius Fankhauser having to interfere. Valatschalp's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Aigle Rouge Club played a much better game than Valatschalp and deserved their victory. The Valatschalp players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
