Spectators: 5100 (Terracing: 4100, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Yverdon's Irenäus Beyer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jared Hofmann in the 3rd minute of play forced Yverdon's goalkeeper Rasul Gräf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 4 minutes, Thierry Imhof mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mosa FC and the Yverdon players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thierry Imhof kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Alfonso Lafranchi made a precise shot to the right of Rasul Gräf. Yverdon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The supporters of Yverdon booed when Mosa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Santschi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Irenäus Beyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Andor Konig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute Jared Hofmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rasul Gräf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andor Konig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domenico Ruckstuhl, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 24th minute Patrick Santschi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rasul Gräf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, Jared Hofmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mosa FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yverdon the free kick. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mosa FC's goalkeeper Andor Konig, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alfonso Lafranchi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pirmin Guerra took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rasul Gräf. Rasul Gräf dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pirmin Guerra in the 33rd minute of play forced Yverdon's goalkeeper Rasul Gräf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pirmin Guerra in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rasul Gräf saved Yverdon from getting behind. Domenico Ruckstuhl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Mosa FC's zone, Carol Pascolo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andor Konig came out of the goal and Carol Pascolo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mosa FC's Andor Konig proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Mosa FC from getting a goal against them. Rasul Gräf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Lafranchi, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The Yverdon players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mosa FC were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfonso Lafranchi to make the kick off. Alfonso Lafranchi was extremely unlucky when he, in the 55th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Domenico Ruckstuhl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Yverdon's Adrianus Spillmann got a free kick in the 59th minute. Andor Konig had in the 65thth minute some difficulties stopping Franck Tive's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The excitement rose when Yverdon's Franck Tive after 65 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Mosa FC's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 1-2. 74 minutes into the match, Yverdon's goalkeeper Rasul Gräf had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pirmin Guerra. Rasul Gräf made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jared Hofmann in the 77th minute. Rasul Gräf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Santschi in the 80th minute of the match. Rasul Gräf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Lafranchi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Yverdon's Kevin Baumberger got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Mosa FC's Rafael Hauser got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. During the 97th minute of the match Jared Hofmann completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jared Hofmann a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The Mosa FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mosa FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
