The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the game, Bern FC's Danilo Imgrüt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Armin Schauber made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Maximilien Siedler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Kristoffer Reck made a huge save. Armin Schauber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Imgrüt in the 11th minute of play. Armin Schauber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fridericus Vogel in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Bern FC's Danilo Imgrüt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Armin Schauber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fridericus Vogel, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lukas Bonato in the 27th minute of play forced Suruç's goalkeeper Armin Schauber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Omar Lampart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jordano Laberge fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Suruç's protests and gave Jordano Laberge a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st match minute, Suruç was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jordano Laberge to maneuver through the defense. Armin Schauber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andre Widenmeier in the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th match minute, Bern FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matt Affentranger to maneuver through the defense. Nikodemus Roy got a throw-in 38 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Simon Pfund. After the first half Bern FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Armin Schauber made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Fridericus Vogel sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Imgrüt in the 54th minute of play forced Suruç's goalkeeper Armin Schauber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 56 minutes of play, Bern FC's Fridericus Vogel made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Armin Schauber was left in no man's land by his defense there! Suruç's Armin Schauber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fridericus Vogel in the 61st minute of play. Armin Schauber stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lukas Bonato's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute Lukas Bonato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armin Schauber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, one of Bern FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Suruç a penalty, 72 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cyril Lüpold, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bern FC's Kristoffer Reck. 1-4. Suruç's Armin Schauber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lukas Bonato in the 76th minute of play. Armin Schauber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fridericus Vogel in the 78th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Danilo Imgrüt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Armin Schauber. Suruç's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Danilo Imgrüt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Suruç made a substitution. Samuele Rohner replaced Elijah Gloeckner. Thanks to some nice moves Fridericus Vogel could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Armin Schauber however easily saved by the left post. When Luigi Bollier came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Suruç fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luigi Bollier couldn't finish the play. Luigi Bollier scored 2-5 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kristoffer Reck, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 93rd minute of the match Bern FC got a corner. Suruç's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lukas Bonato ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bern FC's Lukas Bonato was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Armin Schauber in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Fridericus Vogel, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 93 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Armin Schauber was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Maximilien Siedler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Omar Lampart recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bern FC played a much better game than Suruç and deserved their victory. The Suruç players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
