But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raffaello Archambault couldn't finish the play. Seastar Thun's Colin Enzmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurus Delfs in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Seastar Thun's Dennis Soucy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erwin Hennenberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. 34 minutes into the match, Seastar Thun's Raffaello Archambault sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erwin Hennenberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Erwin Hennenberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. In the 42nd minute of the match Helmuth Roth shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erwin Hennenberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Seastar Thun's Colin Enzmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurus Delfs in the 44th minute of play. In the 48th match minute, Seastar Thun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giacomo Angelici to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Pascal Decker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Handegg's supporters rose to their feet, but Pascal Decker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Colin Enzmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

In the 55th match minute, Seastar Thun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giacomo Angelici to maneuver through the defense. Handegg's Pascal Decker got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alan Witschard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erwin Hennenberg having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Handegg's Jacquin Gloor got a free kick in the 61st minute. Bryan Schüepp hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute of the match Josua Eigel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Colin Enzmann showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Maurus Delfs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Colin Enzmann made a huge save. After having played for 69 minutes, Alan Witschard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Seastar Thun's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alan Witschard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 73rd minute Alan Witschard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Hennenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raffaello Archambault blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erwin Hennenberg having to make a save. When Raffaello Archambault, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 81 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Erwin Hennenberg was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Dennis Soucy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Erwin Hennenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Dennis Soucy notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Handegg's Erwin Hennenberg. Erwin Hennenberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 91 minutes into the game, Seastar Thun's Friedel Ziörjen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
