Birger Pollastrini made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basilius Saluz in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynold Pfenniger in the 10th minute of play forced FC Thun 1898's goalkeeper Farid Finger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basilius Saluz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Peder Bocchi fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Thun 1898's protests and gave Peder Bocchi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Promille FC booed when FC Thun 1898 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peder Bocchi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Farid Finger came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Promille FC's Reynold Pfenniger. But to his dismay, Reynold Pfenniger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 25 played minutes FC Thun 1898 got a freekick which was hit by Peder Bocchi. Farid Finger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Etienne Borghi's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. The audience was convinced that Etienne Borghi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Farid Finger was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Basilius Saluz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birger Pollastrini having to interfere. After the first half Promille FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Basilius Saluz to strike the kick off in the second half. Jeremy Riedweg, 52 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Basilius Saluz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Birger Pollastrini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henri Stinde in the 58th minute of the match. In the 61stth minute of the game Basilius Saluz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Promille FC's Birger Pollastrini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Promille FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Karl Marbach hit a great ball. Birger Pollastrini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henri Stinde in the 63rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Basilius Saluz in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Birger Pollastrini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Birger Pollastrini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henri Stinde in the 65th minute of the match. If Basilius Saluz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Promille FC fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Promille FC's Reynold Pfenniger looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 71 minutes into the match, Promille FC's goal looked a bit too open when Basilius Saluz came free, but Birger Pollastrini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henri Stinde in the 75th minute of play forced Promille FC's goalkeeper Birger Pollastrini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reynold Pfenniger was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 82nd minute. Promille FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Reynold Pfenniger received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Farid Finger came out and tried to block the shot, but Reynold Pfenniger slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 84th minute. Etienne Borghis short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Farid Finger to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
