But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Irenäus Beyer couldn't finish the play. Yverdon's attack was well implemented in the 21st minute, but when Irenäus Beyer was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. In the 25th minute Carsten Fiorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rasul Gräf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Irenäus Beyer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jesko Jutz charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jesko Jutz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rasul Gräf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Lafranchi, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. The supporters of Mosa FC booed when Yverdon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carol Pascolo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 37 played minutes, Mosa FC's Rafael Hauser shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rasul Gräf came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mosa FC reached it. After 40 played minutes Mosa FC got a freekick which was hit by Thierry Imhof. Rasul Gräf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Lafranchi, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After some careless play in the Mosa FC defense, Irenäus Beyer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andor Konig. The Mosa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andor Konig should have stopped the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Irenäus Beyer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Yverdon's Carol Pascolo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Carol Pascolo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Yverdon protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Carol Pascolo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Carol Pascolo kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Rafael Hauser sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Yverdon's Rasul Gräf didn't even have to move. Rasul Gräf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Santschi in the 63rd minute of play. Rasul Gräf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Lafranchi in the 75th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Domenico Ruckstuhl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carsten Fiorita was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 85 minutes into the match, Carsten Fiorita notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Yverdon's Rasul Gräf. Rasul Gräf was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
