Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gabriel Wertscher took the kick off in the first half of the match. 2 minutes into the game, Sandro Berardi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Handegg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mosa FC the free kick. The supporters of Mosa FC booed when Handegg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Berardi didn't get a good kick on the ball. With splendid footwork Alfonso Lafranchi arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 6th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Handegg's goalkeeper Matt Iacovone had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pirmin Guerra. Mosa FC's Andor Konig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Wertscher in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of Mosa FC booed when Handegg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Berardi didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Pirmin Guerra came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Mosa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pirmin Guerra couldn't finish the play. Pirmin Guerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Matt Iacovone made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfonso Lafranchi in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matt Iacovone saved Handegg from getting behind. 33 minutes into the match, Mosa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Scott Baecker came free, but Andor Konig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Maurice Barrière fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Handegg's protests and gave Maurice Barrière a yellow card for diving instead. Pirmin Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Matt Iacovone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matt Iacovone made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Pirmin Guerra sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfonso Lafranchi was the one to do the kick off. Pirmin Guerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pirmin Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alfonso Lafranchi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduard Cascarella hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Matt Iacovone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pirmin Guerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After having played for 60 minutes, Alfonso Lafranchi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mosa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Lafranchi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pirmin Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 64 played minutes Mosa FC got a freekick which was hit by Jared Hofmann. Alfonso Lafranchi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Handegg's Matt Iacovone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Lafranchi in the 77th minute of play. Eduard Cascarella hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Alfonso Lafranchi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matt Iacovone having to interfere. After some careless play in the Handegg defense, Pirmin Guerra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matt Iacovone. The Handegg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matt Iacovone should have stopped the shot. Andor Konig made an important save on a dangerous shot by Scott Baecker in the 91st minute. Pirmin Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mosa FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
