Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Band of Brothers's Maurice Lüthi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hennes Giacomini in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kerwin Nyfeler saved Band of Brothers from getting behind. The supporters of Band of Brothers booed when Graben was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wolf Zulle didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 played minutes Graben got a freekick which was hit by Bernhard Jolidon. Maurice Lüthi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Udo Wider took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurice Lüthi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Graben's zone, Nicholas Seitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Udo Wider came out of the goal and Nicholas Seitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Udo Wider showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicholas Seitz in the 20th minute of the match. After having played for 24 minutes, Nicholas Seitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Band of Brothers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicholas Seitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maurice Lüthi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eric Jurt hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After 35 minutes, Matthew Amlehn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Band of Brothers and the Graben players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Hennes Giacomini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Graben's supporters rose to their feet, but Hennes Giacomini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kerwin Nyfeler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Band of Brothers getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Fabian Felder hit a great ball. If Maurice Lüthi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Graben's Udo Wider played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurice Lüthi in the 43rd minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hennes Giacomini to make the kick off. Maurice Lüthi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Udo Wider having to interfere. Kerwin Nyfeler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernhard Jolidon's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Hennes Giacomini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Urs Fenstermacher hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maurice Lüthi in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Udo Wider saved Graben from getting behind. Kerwin Nyfeler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hennes Giacomini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maurice Lüthi struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Udo Wider didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Band of Brothers. Graben's Udo Wider proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Graben from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurice Lüthi in the 72nd minute of play forced Graben's goalkeeper Udo Wider to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd match minute, Graben was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Gygax to maneuver through the defense. Udo Wider made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicholas Seitz in the 74th minute. After a rather tough play, Band of Brothers's Uli Obrecht got a free kick in the 76th minute. Maurice Lüthi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Udo Wider having to interfere. Udo Wider made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicholas Seitz in the 93rd minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
