With an extended leg and a bit of luck Serge Frei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nathan Parizeau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Serge Frei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvatore Ruano in the 16th minute of play forced Fors Melodiae Lumen's goalkeeper Stefan Krattinger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 played minutes Fors Melodiae Lumen got a freekick which was hit by Nathan Parizeau. Calle Kalfhage took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serge Frei. Serge Frei dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 25 minutes into the match, FC Volketswil's goal looked a bit too open when Calle Kalfhage came free, but Serge Frei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Calle Kalfhage left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fors Melodiae Lumen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After 30 played minutes FC Volketswil got a freekick which was hit by Michael Archambault. Calle Kalfhage received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Serge Frei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Calle Kalfhage managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fors Melodiae Lumen's supporters rose to their feet, but Calle Kalfhage was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serge Frei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Calle Kalfhage took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serge Frei. Serge Frei dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. The audience was convinced that Calle Kalfhage's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Serge Frei was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in FC Volketswil's zone, Raffaelo Ambrogioni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serge Frei came out of the goal and Raffaelo Ambrogioni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The wind increased when Calle Kalfhage made the kick off in the second half. Michael Archambault charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a rather tough play, FC Volketswil's Zelimir Imhof got a free kick in the 59th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Calle Kalfhage kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Serge Frei. That made the score 0-6 in the 60 minute of play. Serge Frei didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Fors Melodiae Lumen's Calle Kalfhage shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-7 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 67th minute, Calle Kalfhage ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serge Frei was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. After having played for 71 minutes, Calle Kalfhage managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fors Melodiae Lumen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Calle Kalfhage was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paolo Guerreiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Serge Frei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute Salvatore Ruano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Krattinger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81stth minute of the game Calle Kalfhage who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Volketswil's Serge Frei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 85 minutes into the game, Fors Melodiae Lumen's Raffaelo Ambrogioni nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Serge Frei made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-10. If Calle Kalfhage had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Fors Melodiae Lumen booed when FC Volketswil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduard Gschwind didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fors Melodiae Lumen played a much better game than FC Volketswil and deserved their victory. The FC Volketswil players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
