After a defensive mix-up in Real Kurdistan 05's zone, Noel Lenzin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ludwig Summermatter came out of the goal and Noel Lenzin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ludwig Summermatter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Duerr, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Federico Duerr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Ludwig Summermatter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Federico Duerr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Noel Lenzin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the game, Federico Duerr cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ludwig Summermatter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the referee blew the final whistle, Real Kurdistan 05 could leave the field as winners, despite FC Länk dänk having more of the ball for most of the match.
