Jeremias Gräf took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jürgen Ritieni. FC Länk dänk's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jeremias Gräf hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Thomas Lachapelle hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Nicola Léveillé's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jürgen Ritieni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clemens Albiez in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jürgen Ritieni saved FC Länk dänk from getting behind. Harry Spiess scored 0-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jürgen Ritieni, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 38th match minute, FC Länk dänk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marin Rager to maneuver through the defense. Raffaele Conti struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Jürgen Ritieni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SL Benfica. In the 41st minute, Harry Spiess left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. FC Länk dänk's Jürgen Ritieni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry Spiess in the 45th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Noel Lenzin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alwin Dubler. That made the score 1-3 in the 47 minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Conrad Baumeister to strike the kick off in the second half. Jürgen Ritieni was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Harry Spiess capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Harry Spiess really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Conrad Baumeister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Harry Spiess left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SL Benfica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. In the 73rd minute, Raffaele Conti reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jürgen Ritieni. The goal made the score 1-6. FC Länk dänk's Conrad Baumeister got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of SL Benfica booed when FC Länk dänk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrad Baumeister didn't get a good kick on the ball. Harry Spiess sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 84 played minutes SL Benfica got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Gräf. Jeremias Gräf was shown his second yellow card after 86 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The referee gave FC Länk dänk a penalty, 87 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Noel Lenzin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SL Benfica's Alwin Dubler. 2-6. With a little luck, FC Länk dänk's Jürgen Ritieni got control of the ball when Raffaele Conti tried to sneak it across the goal line. SL Benfica's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
