Joaquin Celipe might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raffaelo Rüttimann. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joaquin Celipe ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquin Celipe in the 7th minute of play forced Joga Bonito Juniors's goalkeeper Raffaelo Rüttimann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 1-0 became the score in the 15th minute when Matthias Metzger elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Silvain Clément came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Joga Bonito Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvain Clément couldn't finish the play. Robin Rüegg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthias Metzger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Joga Bonito Juniors getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Luc Nobs hit a great ball. In the 30th match minute, Chancy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquin Celipe to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the game, Hamilton Häfeli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chancy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Joga Bonito Juniors the free kick. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chancy! When Silvain Clément came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Joga Bonito Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvain Clément couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matthias Metzger in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robin Rüegg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The supporters of Joga Bonito Juniors booed when Chancy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Celipe didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Valentin Ruckli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Joga Bonito Juniors fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Joga Bonito Juniors's Matthias Metzger looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Matthias Metzger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Rüegg having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Chancy's goal looked a bit too open when Matthias Metzger came free, but Robin Rüegg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, Alex Ailenei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
