Spectators: 6108 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1940, VIP seats: 168) Lenny Grossenbacher started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Tomas Müller showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimir Felber, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Vladimir Felber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Tomas Müller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 9 played minutes Ringgenberg got a freekick which was hit by Niels Schär. Daniel Vendembia charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Vendembia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th match minute, Ringgenberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Vendembia to maneuver through the defense. In the 21stth minute of the game Denis Schott who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ringgenberg's Roger Gerig was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 26th minute, Lenny Grossenbacher left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ringgenberg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Christy Ulrich managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Sarajevo SG's supporters rose to their feet, but Christy Ulrich was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roger Gerig breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Sarajevo SG's Denis Schott got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 35 minutes, Denis Schott managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Sarajevo SG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denis Schott was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Denis Schott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fabrizio Saluz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roger Gerig made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Denis Schott sent off a good shot on target. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Denis Schott was the one to do the kick off. Tomas Müller made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vladimir Felber in the 53rd minute. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Denis Schott put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Roger Gerig. 63 minutes into the match, Ringgenberg's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Schurter came free, but Roger Gerig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Sarajevo SG's Christy Ulrich managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Niels Schär in the 66 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Schott in the 68th minute of play forced Ringgenberg's goalkeeper Roger Gerig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Müller made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Vendembia in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute Lenny Grossenbacher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Müller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FC Sarajevo SG booed when Ringgenberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josue Gehrig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Müller was a little too slow when Lenny Grossenbacher got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 1-2. The audience was convinced that Denis Schott's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roger Gerig was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Roger Gerig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donald Doggwiler in the 81st minute of the match. Mattia Strobel made in the 84th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Josue Gehrig. In the 86th minute, Denis Schott got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabrizio Saluz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Roger Gerig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Müller took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lenny Grossenbacher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Ringgenberg's zone, Denis Schott stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Gerig came out of the goal and Denis Schott tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denis Schott in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roger Gerig saved Ringgenberg from getting behind. Ringgenberg were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over FC Sarajevo SG's much stronger midfield.
